"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone."
- A. Bartlett Giamatti
And so the games began last night. Baseball is officially here. Life is good again. And after the glorious year of 2004, how can baseball - or the Red Sox - ever break my heart again? They might - oh come on, they WILL - but it will never take away the joy of those few weeks of October 2004. That joy will never go away.
